Configuration #1: Continuous Vacuum table. CNC Router (above) is configured with a continuous vacuum table hold down design. In this design external clamping is available only at the perimeter of the process area. The advantage of this design is the vacuum is continuous over the material leading to increase suction. The tradeoff is that external clamping is not practical for many sizes of material.
Configuration #2: Combination vacuum/clamping table. (above) is configured with a combination vacuum grid and external clamping. In this configuration three internal channels are kept open available for the placement of external clamps within the vacuum top design. This allows for clamping smaller material when you don’t want to run the vacuum pump. The disadvantage is vacuum suction is lost from the openings.

Configuration #3: Continuous vacuum high flow:
The vacuum grid to the right shows another configuration and vacuum pattern. This table is designed for continuous hold-down using a vacuum pump. Clamping is available only at the outer edges.
